Solar Panel Mounting

Solar PV Ground Mount:
The most common type of ground mount is constructed from steel supports with concrete footings. The rest of the mounting structure is built from aluminum or galvanized steel. Some Do-It-Yourselfers will even construct their mounting system from wood.
Solar PV Roof Mount:
This is a cost effective and common type of installation. Almost all residential and commercial roofs are able to carry this load (around 4 pounds per square foot) without the need for structural modification. A typical solar mounting structure is made of aluminum or galvanized steel.
Solar PV Pole Mount:
This type of structure can be mounted on the side or the top of a pole. The benefits are being able to adjust the pitch of the array for the different times of the year.
Solar PV Tracker:
A tracking mounting is just that, it tracks the sun through the day. This allows your array to benefit from a direct angle to the sun. A tracking system costs more to install, but the benefits outweigh the expense over the long term.
